{"id":210,"date":"2011-06-17T07:01:00","date_gmt":"2011-06-17T07:01:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/zaakistan.com\/wordpress\/?p=210"},"modified":"2011-06-17T07:01:00","modified_gmt":"2011-06-17T07:01:00","slug":"geocaching-on-nose-hi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/zaakistan.com\/dir\/index.php\/2011\/06\/17\/geocaching-on-nose-hi\/","title":{"rendered":"GeoCaching on Nose Hill"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/zaakistan.com\/photos\/blog6\/geoc1.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\nSome cohousing friends invited us to go <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dmoz.org\/Recreation\/Outdoors\/Geocaching\/North_America\/Canada\/\">geocaching<\/a> with them a couple weeks ago on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.calgary.ca\/portal\/server.pt\/gateway\/PTARGS_0_0_782_203_0_43\/http%3B\/content.calgary.ca\/CCA\/City+Hall\/Business+Units\/Parks\/Find+a+park+or+pathway\/Major+parks\/NW+parks\/Nose+Hill+Park.htm\">Nose Hill<\/a>. I had never been, so I was keen to see if we could even find any of the caches.<\/div>\n<div>\n<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/zaakistan.com\/photos\/blog6\/geoc2.jpg\" \/><\/div>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\nDan has a GPS and he brought the coordinates of 10 caches on the hill (there are many more than 10, but we had 7 young children with us). We followed his itinerary until the kids started to get tuckered out.<\/div>\n<div>\n<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/zaakistan.com\/photos\/blog6\/geoc3.jpg\" \/><\/div>\n<div>\n<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/zaakistan.com\/photos\/blog6\/geoc4.jpg\" \/><\/div>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\nI will never make fun of Nose Hill again. It&#8217;s a gorgeous park even though driving by it on John Laurie Boulevard it looks like a huge bald hill with nothing on it. There are great little gullies and forested areas full of wild life and flowers.
