{"id":309,"date":"2009-12-21T10:00:00","date_gmt":"2009-12-21T10:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/zaakistan.com\/wordpress\/?p=309"},"modified":"2009-12-21T10:00:00","modified_gmt":"2009-12-21T10:00:00","slug":"inglewood-bird-sanctuary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/zaakistan.com\/dir\/index.php\/2009\/12\/21\/inglewood-bird-sanctuary\/","title":{"rendered":"Inglewood Bird Sanctuary"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/zaakistan.com\/photos\/blog5\/birdsanc1.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\nOn Amber&#8217;s birthday, between a tasty brunch put on by Alanna and an evening of delightful food at a Greek restaurant, we spent part of the afternoon at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bsc-eoc.org\/national\/ibs.html\">Inglewood Bird Sanctuary<\/a> with our friends from <a href=\"http:\/\/whiskeyjackcohousing.wordpress.com\/\">Whiskey Jack Cohousing<\/a>. I wasn&#8217;t too keen on the whole thing since it was chilly and I&#8217;ve seen birds before and they usually aren&#8217;t around much in the winter.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/zaakistan.com\/photos\/blog5\/birdsanc2.jpg\" \/><\/div>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\nBut the sanctuary showed me! Right in the middle of the city! This gorgeous park on the Bow River with a great path! A full moon shone in the late afternoon clear, deep blue sky. The snow crunched under our feet. And we even saw some birds: lots of ducks and geese heading south, plenty of chickadees and a great horned owl.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/zaakistan.com\/photos\/blog5\/birdsanc3.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/zaakistan.com\/photos\/blog5\/birdsanc4.jpg\" \/><\/div>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\nAnd I got to fool around with my camera too.
