It was awesome, though we were pretty exhausted at the end.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Acadia has been on a giraffe kick for the past couple months. She continually asks to see the giraffe video we have on an episode of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rickmercer.com\/\">Rick Mercer Report<\/a> when he visits the Toronto Zoo. The first destination was then to see the giraffes. They are quite noble\/bizarre creatures up close. Those tongues are freakier than the long necks. Acadia seemed more confused than in awe of these beasts, but she liked them in the end.<\/div>\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/zaakistan.com\/photos\/blog5\/zoo2.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/zaakistan.com\/photos\/blog5\/zoo3.jpg\" \/><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Blaise was awesome! He picked up the little info phones all the time and listened carefully to the voice at the other end explaining all about the animals.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/zaakistan.com\/photos\/blog5\/zoo4.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>His favorite animal out of all was the fish. Even after seeing camels and elephants and anteaters and lions, the fish were the best. The pet store has fish.<\/div>\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/zaakistan.com\/photos\/blog5\/zoo5.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>I liked the lions&#8230;<\/div>\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/zaakistan.com\/photos\/blog5\/zoo6.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.calgaryzoo.org\/index.php?option=com_content&amp;task=view&amp;id=42&amp;Itemid=52&amp;animalID=193\">giant anteaters<\/a>&#8230;\u00a0<\/div>\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/zaakistan.com\/photos\/blog5\/zoo7.jpg\" \/><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>and the stork&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/zaakistan.com\/photos\/blog5\/zoo8.jpg\" \/><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>and the andean condor&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/zaakistan.com\/photos\/blog5\/zoo9.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>and the moose.<\/div>\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/zaakistan.com\/photos\/blog5\/zoo10.jpg\" \/><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The kids really liked the ducks. There are ducks everywhere! Maybe I should go to the zoo alone next time.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Some other animals that were super wicked awesome cool were the feathertail glider, the alpine ibex, and the cotton-top tamarin (a real rockstar!).<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We finally went to the zoo last weekend. 4 1\/2 hours of the zoo.
