A woman was murdered in Delburne, east of Red Deer, allegedly by her estranged spouse last week. Not too long ago, the man is alleged to have sexually assaulted the same woman while holding a gun. An emergency protection order had been placed against the man for this charge, but it doesn&#8217;t appear to have worked. I don&#8217;t get it. Don&#8217;t they imprison people when they are charged with a violent act and there is a chance of reoffending?<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>This follows <a href=\"http:\/\/www.albertalocalnews.com\/reddeeradvocate\/news\/local\/Murder_victim_remembered_as_loving_young_mother.html\">another grisly murder<\/a> in Red Deer a couple weeks back of a young single mom allegedly by her boyfriend. The woman&#8217;s three year old son witnessed the crime.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Edmonton and Calgary have <a href=\"http:\/\/www.canada.com\/calgaryherald\/news\/city\/story.html?id=c19e5693-d029-4a4b-be8a-ecde408e44f8\">two of the top four murder rates<\/a> in Canada.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>I must adjust <a href=\"http:\/\/zaakistan.com\/wordpress\/?p=502\">my thoughts on violence in Canada vs. Guatemala<\/a> a little.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I heard this story on the radio coming home this afternoon.
