The Season is Mango

From March to May, we enjoy mangoes. As many as we can eat. They usually cost between 15-23¢ each. The eat them green here too, which isn’t bad with some salt and seasoning. We whip them up with milk. We cook them up in crisps. We stir them into pudding. We dice them into waldorf salad. We bake them on top of chicken.

But mostly we just slice, dice, invert, and chomp.

Then we wash our faces.

  1. Now try this with a mango…take a mango in your hand and bite off a tiny bit at the tip and suck it all out. Absolutely enjoyable…make sure thought that it is a ripe mango first otherwise it isn’t so enjoyable.

  2. I’m happy that Blaise gets to enjoy amazing fruit in his everyday life….but I feel bad that one day he’s going to be in Canada and go to an IGA to buy some mangos and they are going to taste like cardboard. He’ll be like “What?? This isn’t a mango!”
Just as bad as finding out there is no Santa.

Try Mango Salsa from Costco…YUM! I have it on Chicken and Salmon and just on nacho chips…you dont have to get all messy….or spend half an hour flossing after.
